I've been waiting for this gadget for a couple of weeks now, and it finally came yesterday in the mail! now all that's left is to get the actual books and the rest of the stuff I'll need for school. hopefully, that will all come pretty quickly.

At first I thought you were making a mistake with the name, but thanks to Google it sounds like it's something very similar to the Victor Reader Stream which came out just a few months back. I have one and it's beautiful! My favorite feature is beingable to play NLS digital talking books. It's brilliant!

It is, but the one I have plays cD's rather than digital books on one disc. I would have loved that one, but this works just as well.

Sounds much like the tellex scholar!

i like the layout of the victor reader, however i dont like the voice. it sounds a bit like a gay man.

I think victor Wave and Victor Reader are two different things.

hmmm, well the scholar is like a walkman that plays books.

The scholar is a bit slower than the victor players and I think they use the same voice.

It can be slow when reading the disks.

Are you joking? The scollar was so slow i was out for an hour, came back, and it still hadnt read the disk! So i gave that up as a lost cause. Got me a victor wave. Love the thing. I also have a VictorX+.

I would really like a stream, do them streams play RFBD books yet? Because if they dont, i ain't getting one...

I think they do.

Cool. Now only if the Braille+ units could play RFBD I could ditch this darned Wave. It's good, and the ClasicX+ is really on it. I mean i push on. Beep! "welcome to victor." so put in the disk. 5,4,3,2,1. "this disk requires the rfbd code..."
Type it. press pound. Then as soon as ya do that, push the page key or whatever ya wanna do. Instant; no waiting for stuff to memory. My only complaint is the rewind function. I have no idea where I am in the book because it just rewinds and doesnt play back what it's rewinding.

Highlight bookmarks are fantastic things; if only the Wave had that...

And the voice on the Wave and the Stream and ClassicX are all different. I mean the ClassicX and Stream have the same voices; the Wave is different.

Anyone try the Vibe or the victor with recording. Wow they've released like 6 new victor players between this and last yeqar...

I also have a book port (but sadly no stream I really wanan get a stream if rfbd is supported), and I dont use the BookPort for rfbd because, well my UAK doesnt wanna work...
